Surprise birthday surprise wedding
I had the pleasure of being a wedding coordinator and officiant for an unusual event when Evelin and Tamás approached me with their special plan.
For Tamás' 40th birthday, his friends organised a surprise party, which of course included Evelin.
But that's where the story took an exciting turn: the couple decided to make the birthday surprise even more special and secretly get married that day, to everyone's surprise.
Naturally, because there were several twists and turns, the story required very careful preparation and planning, and the help of some undercover people who knew everything, including mine.
When I arrived at the venue, as the event coordinator, I had to keep it a strict secret that we were actually preparing for a wedding ceremony. During the preparations, Evelin and Tamás and I planned every detail meticulously to create truly unforgettable moments for everyone.
According to the script of the day, Tamás didn't arrive until later, accompanied by two of his good friends (they knew Tamás had no idea about the surprise birthday.
Friends, colleagues and family were delighted to welcome him, followed by an entertaining magic show.
But when the smoke machines started up at the end of the show, something really special happened: the venue was quickly rearranged from its previously prepared photo booth into the wedding ceremony venue for Evelin and Tamás.
Secretly, I was transformed into a wedding officiant in the smoke, and as the smoke cleared, Evelin entered the marquee in her wedding dress, and everyone watched in shock and awe.
I had already clearly been transformed into the officiant with the national colour ribbon and was ready to give them the wonderful and personal civil ceremony they had dreamed of.
The eyes of friends and family were sparkling with joy and surprise as Evelin and Thomas said "I do", witnessed by their two beautiful children.
This event was a special experience for me too, as Evelin and Tamás are an incredibly lovely couple who have become very close to my heart.
The loving atmosphere of their family and friends, as well as the intimate atmosphere of their wedding, is a perfect example of how the best moments are often the most unexpected.
The garden of their family home in Cegléd was the perfect venue for this truly special day, which was a pleasure to be a part of as both wedding coordinator and officiant.
Evelin and Tamás' story reminds me that love, family and shared surprises are what make the most important events in life truly unforgettable.
